Pan American 9-ball Championship 2004

Curaçao  (Netherlands Antilles) will host the Pan-American 9-Ball Championships from June 3rd through
the 6th. This is the 6th Pan-American 9-Ball Championship masculine and 3rd Pan-American 9-Ball
Championship feminine.

The Pan-American Championships is the most important and prestigious 9 Ball event in this area that
groups seventeen (17) Caribbean, Central and South American Countries.  
This event is sanctioned by the World-Pool Billiard Association.
The event qualifies eight (8) male and two (2) female players to represent their countries during the
World Pool Championships masculine to be held this year in Taipei, Taiwan on July 10-18, 2004 and
the World Pool Championships feminine to be held this year in Johannesburg, South Africa in July 2004.

A field of 48 male players and 18 female players will battle each other for the prestigious title, plus points for
the C.P.B. ranking system. The tournament will be held at the Granbeeuw Entertainment Center

The Hotels accommodating players will be the Howard Johnson Curaçao Plaza Hotel & Casino

Jorge Llanos and Laura Famin, both from Argentina, are the defending Champions and have confirmed
their participation in the event.
