In 2008 The Curacao Billiard Federation will host like in 2007 also 5 championships of 9-ball valid for the
ranking. The number 2 edition was organised past weekend, 26-30 June.
In this second stop of the 9-Ball Tour 42 members tried to
go all the way for the title. This edition of the 9-ball event ,
was a great one with lots of young players giving the top
players hard times. Young talents like: Anthony Wever and
Jeffrey Nieuwenhuyzen are already ranked among the top
players. On the last day of the event it came down to the
following players: Bryan Landskind, Johnny Hellmund,
Anthony Wever and Jeffrey Nieuwenhuijzen.
Bryan Landskind was the first to reach the final sending
The Legend Johnny Hellmund to the b-side.
Their he had one to big opponent in the name of
Anthoy "Machine gun" Wever who had a good tournament
winning Jeffrey "Konine" Nieuwenhuizen.
Anthony didn't make many mistakes and eliminated
Hellmund in the loser's final. It was a sweet revenge giving Hellmund was the one to send him to the loser's
round. But in the final he was attacked by the "BB" virus. Bryan Landskind was on a run.
After missing a couple of tournament the shark was back in town winning the final 9-5 from Anthony, who is
one of the most solid players in the tour. The first 9-ball tour he was also in the final losing that time from
Johnny Hellmund. But this time Bryan "BB" Landskind was the one to beat he really have given a top
achievement winning this edition undefeated.
The next Febiko event is the Curacao 8-Ball Championship who promise to be a real thriller at the end of July.
